It's similar to a connection failed, 404, etc.Ġ8:05 cpm: Lol, letter-head verification cracks me upĠ8:06 that I'll bet lead to losses greater than whatever losses were had by 'untrusted' certificates.Ġ8:06 ecrist: that's right. using faked letter head kinda stuff.Ġ8:05 I have IT people here, who, when they started using Firefox 3, thought we were having internal website problems because the ssl error wasn't friendly, at all. Where 'untrusted' certificates actually caused loss, relative to 'trusted' certificates that were acquired via fraudulent means.Ġ8:05 There are cases where folks paid good money to acquire certificates in another companies name. I'd *love* to see an analysis of ssl certificate fraud. :PĠ8:02 pinchartl: they *overly* imply that the site they user is connecting to is dangerous/fraudulent.Ġ8:02 ecrist: I think I agree with you for the most partĠ8:03 I just get constantly nagged by the "trust" aspect of SSLĠ8:03 But it costs so much to be trustedĠ8:03 And anyone with money seems trustworthy.Ġ8:03 I think, if they gave you a yellow bar, similar to the one they have for "do you want me to remember this password" indicating that, while the connection was encrypted, the site's identity cannot be verified" would be sufficient.Ġ8:04 ecrist: the risk my be overstated by Firefox, but that's better than understating it :-)Ġ8:04 pinchartl: that doesn't make it less wrong, on the part of mozilla.Ġ8:04 Safari does it nicely, without a lot of doom and gloom.Ġ8:04 yeah, that's pretty funny. We thought the flumes might redeem the place a little but the "easy" slide ends up plummeting you around a sharp bend, pushing you against the sharp roof join in the tunnel and spitting you against the exit wall.08:02 pinchartl: Moinmoin has the "validated xhtml" logo on the bottom of their pages, but if you actually run it through the validation, it fails. The windows and pool door were left open too, so you had the pleasure of inhaling smoke both outdoors and in. There are smoking areas at each entrance to the outdoor pool and staff are more than happy to contribute to the smog as they pace the perimeter nonchalantly. We ventured into the outdoor area only to be greeted by a cloud of smoke. The poolside was slippery and uneven (again, with dead hair, plasters and even some broken glass littering the floor). When we finally made it inside, we struggled to find any changing rooms with a working door and got dressed as soon as possible so we wouldn't have to spend too long standing on dead hair and grit. She then tried to charge us extra when we complained that she'd forgotten to activate one of our tickets. The receptionist was short-tempered and downright angry when she couldn't understand my friend's attempts at German. So overall good fun (especially for the family) but averageĪ small group of us visited this pool after trying the Titus Thermal Baths (which were lovely). Aside from the dirt there were actual taps and soap missing. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff at the entranceĭownright rude lifeguards who were criticising my friend’s swimming (saying he couldn’t swim) also unable to tell us when the spring boards would be open.Ĭompletely full of people in the middle of a pandemic. Location (right on the edge of Frankfurt) Great attractions such as diving boards, slides and hot tubs (during the coronavirus the slides and hot tubs were unfortunately closed) If you are under 15 make sure you bring or take a picture of some sort of ID so you can go in for free. After about 12ish it really starts filling up.Ģ. I had a good experience and will go again but it is far from perfect.ġ. The rebstockbad is an average swimming pool and below hygiene standards of other pools.
